Heritage Assessment Report Meeting, Wed 13th June 2007 at 10:00-12:00 in Mount Carmel Social Club
Date: 5th June 2007
Ref: NMS / JC

Dear Resident

This letter is being sent to everyone who lives in the part of the Welsh Streets area which is affected by the proposals for redevelopment.

Before the designs can be approved, the developer Gleeson needs to obtain a Heritage Assessment report describing the historical and architectural nature of the existing houses and the impact of the development proposals. A specialist firm has been appointed for this

purpose, the Architectural History Practice.

You are invited to come to a meeting at Mount Carmel Social Club, 10:00 to 12:00 on Wednesday 13th June so that the consultant can explain the work she is doing and also get your views about the heritage value of the houses in the area.

It will not be a general meeting regarding the development proposals or neighbourhood matters although if you have any concerns you want to raise there will be Council staff available to take note and advise you if possible.

If you are not able to attend but would like to put your views on the area's heritage in writing you can send them to

Marion Barter

I hope you will take this opportunity to make your voice is heard and your views are taken into account.

Yours sincerely

Jack Coutts
