This is how Ringo Starr's birthplace looks today, surrounded by boarded up empty houses.

A photo of how ringo starr's birthplace looks today But Ringo Starr's birthplace has no historical importance, as keeps being stated by the Liverpool City Council and their representatives, their reasoning seems to be because they never saved John Lennon's or Paul McCartney's birthplaces then this obviously means that Ringo's birthplace shouldn't be saved as well, hmmm.

And as they like to keep telling anyone who'll listen that the house which has historical significance is the house where Ringo lived from age 4 to his 20's. Coincidentally which just so happens to NOT be in their plans of widespread demolition. It's also funny how people keep turning up to see Ringo's birthplace every single day from all over the world on the Magical Mystery Tour bus and off their own bat. As they know it's this place & its people that made him the man he was, is and will always be.

And if Ringo's birthplace has no historic significance why the big climb down by the council! Now it will supposedly make the highlight feature of a new museum being built, the biggest built for a hundred years supposedly, but I thought it was only good for £18,000 the sum the council will be charged by whichever lucky demolition company company "won" the contract to demolish these houses, streets at a time. Oh and did I forget to mention the £100,000 to purchase from the current owner only to tear it down. Value for the taxpayers money I hear you cry.

Anybody fancy a wager on there being no connection between the demolition folk and anybody involved in awarding the contract ;-)

Is it just me or is having both of these houses within spitting distance of each other better than having just one of them or both of them spread out across the city.

p.s. Oh and did i forget to mention that the empress pub is in between the minute stroll between both of these houses, somewhere to rest your tired bones/feet on either or both legs of your epic ringo birthplace sentimental journey ;)

p.p.s. mines a shot of your native country's 'water of life'
