It seems, through the local grapevine that is as getting information from the so called people in control is a farce, that the properties on the half of kelvin grove that were supposedly being torn down have been passed back into the hands of the council for some reason yet to be divulged to the people concerned.

photo of the side of kelvin grove to be demolished Could it be that it will be easier for the Liverpool City Council who now supposedly have ownership of these properties once again to perform some sort of slight of hand easier than HMR and have these houses destroyed using some sort of legal loophole/shortcut designed for council owned properties only?

Anyway can you guess which side of the street was proposed to be demolished? One side all boarded/bricked up and with some graffiti thrown in gratis for good measure (which has been there for months with no sign of anyone wanting to clean it off by the way)

photo of the side of kelvin grove to be saved The other side which is only safe because they back onto the houses on Princes Road which are grade listed buildings and can't be demolished, even though I bet these people would love to as they are taking up valuable land that could be regenerated with new builds, even though the apartments in these properties are selling at £150,000 on the open market. This side of the street has two houses owned by HMR being redeveloped into luxury flats (even though the tennants who lived there previously were told that the properties were being converted from flats back into single dwellings for families and they would have to move elsewhere only for them to actually develop them into the same number of luxury flats) for sale once completed.

p.s. I thought the council was clamping down on leaving rubbish & bins on the pavement on any other day but collection day? As you can see the bins outside of the HMR owned properties (currently being redeveloped into luxury apartments) on the pavement whereas nobody else's are, I hope they are sending  the ticket wardens as we speak & lets not mention the freight container sticking half way across the pavement on the other side of the street shall we.
