John Lennon met Paul McCartney at St Peter's Church fate in Woolton on 6th July 1957. They are holding a 50th anniversary of the meeting with music & entertainment on Friday 6th July and Saturday 7th July.

5,000 plus people are expected to attend an afternoon music festival at Bishop Martin School grounds on Sunday 8th July featuring the surviving Quarrymen.

Other performers involved include Jukebox Eddies, The Merseybeatles and the Merseycats.
